И у меня, похоже, мысли об этой манге застряли надолго.
It seems to me I haven't written a single word about one of my favourite manga characters. Shame on me then! You know, Ayase is cute, Kanou is cool, Gion won't move an inch without his camera and Someya is... Well, she is really something! Oh should I write "he" as Kanou says?.. She is smart, energetic; her taste is impeccable... well, in certain sphere, definitely. She is friendly, helpful (remember the book about pets she gave to Kanou), optimistic, sociable, she gets on well with people, makes them feel at ease (Kanou is an exception) and always knows what and where to say. But at the same time she is practical otherwise she won't be able to run a shop with a profit. She is... no, not cute, she is not exactly beautiful but there is something in her that makes her stand out in the crowd. She always dresses elegantly, no matter what she is wearing - a kimono or a suit of a nurse.
She is really smart. She can stand by, can help, she manages to talk Ayase out of his shell and makes him feel at ease. She cares for his feelings and tries to make Kanou do the same. She can be showing off and at the same time being very serious as in chapter 20.
Her manner of speech, her sense of humour, her way of addressing Kanou and pissing him off, her attitude towards Ayase and his and Kanou relationship - Someya is brilliant! I adore her, adore even more than Kanou and Ayase. The only thing that puzzles me is how she would refer to herself in Russian translation since in English there are no gender inflections for verbs and adjectives. Would she say "Я говорила" or "Я говорил"? For those who don't know this manga - Someya is an okama (male transvestite).
Another character I trule love here is Kuba Misao. I sympathize him: dealing with the boss obsessed by such a person like Ayase is complicated enough. But acting as a bodyguard, tutor and kind of counselor for private matters for Ayase makes it even more complicated. But he copes with it so far.

И все-таки, что ж Кано так переклинило на Аясе? Именно что переклинило, иного объяснения нет. Это не любовь, ему, по-моему, даже само слово это незнакомо, не страсть - даже в порыве страсти так поступать невозможно; тем более, не влюбленность. При этом он морщится при одном упоминании Сомейи и… не то чтобы презирает ее, но ясно дает понять, что они живут в разных мирах, которые если и вынуждены пересекаться, то по дикому недоразумению. Аясе тогда правильно поставил вопрос "Why is it ok with me then?". Это что-то сродни одержимости. Причем Кано страшит даже сама мысль о том, что мелкий может попытаться уйти от него. И он готов сделать все, что угодно, лишь бы тот остался с ним. Все, начиная от нехилого долга с рядом нулей, способа выплаты этого самого долга, ограничения личной свободы мелкого вплоть до того, что даже Сомейя уже возмутилась, что это уже слишком. Разрушить родственные связи, лишить его друзей, учебы, разрушить весь мир, в котором жил Аясе до этого, все, чтобы тому больше некуда было идти. От него. Собственничество? Но мелкий не его владение и уж тем более не вложение капитала.
Да что ж такое чувствует Кано, что его так клинит на Аясе?.. А главное - почему именно на нем? И так мощно, что он готов на любую подлость и низость, лишь бы тот остался.
